Oh, no you didn't!

Yes, I did--a fresh Clem's Corner post after almost a year and a half of silence. Why, you may ask? A couple of reasons: a Google search for "Clem" no longer turns up any fleshy-demoned goodness until the fourth or fifth page of hits, and that's just wrong. Second, I just revealed to a colleague of mine that I am the party responsible for this nifty fansite, so I thought I'd spiffy up the place somewhat in case I get a visit in the not-so-distant future.

Kitten Poker? But I just...

I've been feeling the Blogspot love of late, especially seeing how it's enabled me to revive the old website, so I'm thinking about starting up a Kitten Poker Blog as an alternative to the Kitten Poker Lounge on the Clem Board. Not to worry, though - I wouldn't dream of getting rid of the message board. If anyone's interested in playing kitten poker, by all means let me know and we'll get a new game going!

Roll call!

I thought I'd take the time to mention a few other websites devoted to Clem and James Leary that are out there:

1. Clem's Homestead, the first Clem site to go online.

2. James Leary Fans, an excellent clearinghouse for all things James Leary.

3. Friendly Fellows, dedicated not only to Clem but Doyle, Lorne, Halfrek, and other friendly demons who inhabit the Buffyverse.

And that seems to be it for now. If I turn up any additional sites, I'll be sure to let you know! And feel free to drop me a line if you have a link you'd like to share.

Clemmage

Not sure if is this is old or new, but I thought I'd share a link to an interview with James Leary done by the BBC (both video and text transcript available) that I turned up recently. Best highlight: James talking about the logistical difficulties of shooting the kitten poker scene with real live - not to mention uncooperative - kittens!

Speaking of kitten poker, I believe there's still a game going on at the Clem Board. Or at least there was. After watching both The World Series of Poker and then Celebrity Poker Showdown on television recently, I'm hankering for a hand or two of Texas Hold 'Em again myself. And if there should happen to be kittens involved in the betting, well then all the better.

Aloha

For those of you who are either coming from the Clem Board or who have stumbled upon us for the very first time - welcome to the new home of Clem's Corner, your one-stop clearinghouse for all things Clem, the most famous loose-skinned demon in the known Buffyverse! We'll be making a fresh start here at Blogspot, mainly because it's free, also because the blog format is a little easier to maintain (we at the Corner sheepishly admit that we've been extremely lax in keeping the site current). Don't worry, though, we'll keep a link to the Board, and soon there will be even more Clem and Buffy linkage for all to enjoy.

Mmmm. Linkage...
